Digital Creativity

This hands-on studio course built foundational skills in using technology for the creative process, introducing digital media concepts through the lens of contemporary art and culture. I completed a series of projects across Adobe software, building practical experience in digital design and creative problem-solving.

"Place Project" (Photoshop)

The Upper Peninsula's landscapes have always inspired me. Here I swapped tranquility for chaos, turning the familiar strange and pushing already-whimsical scenery somewhere even more outrageous. Tree hollows become portals to new realities, and a billboard and postcards explore a longing for belonging and nostalgia for what I love most about Michigan: its natural water wonderland.

Independent Animation

In Adobe Animate CC, I turned an existing painting into a one-minute "what-if" animation using frame-by-frame, keyframe, motion-tween and shape-tween techniques, with transitions and movement inspired by real life.

Group Animation

I created half of our final two-minute animation, plus three additional scenes, the storyboard and the character drawings, and I led concept development. The piece follows a man's humorous, psychedelic trip through realities inspired by the ingredients of the greatest sandwich ever made, delivered on deadline.
